Driving school tuition car
You’ll learn in a modern manual tuition car that’s set up to provide a comfortable, supportive environment for developing your driving skills.
From your first lesson onwards, you’ll have time to become familiar with the controls, driving position and features of the car at a pace that suits you. As your experience develops, we’ll make use of the car’s technology where it helps while ensuring that you develop the observation, judgement and driving skills needed to drive independently.

Designed to make learning easier
Modern manual car
You’ll learn in a modern manual car that is comfortable, easy to handle and well suited to both new and more experienced learners.
Dual controls
The car is fitted with instructor dual controls, giving you the reassurance of knowing that I can step in when necessary while you build confidence and independence.
Useful technology
Modern driving technology can support your learning, but the emphasis remains on developing good observation, judgement and control rather than relying on assistance systems.
Getting comfortable with the car
As you build experience, becoming familiar with the tuition car helps you concentrate less on the controls and more on what is happening around you.
We’ll work on the practical details that matter for everyday driving, including seating position, mirrors, steering, clutch and gear control, braking, manoeuvring and using the car’s controls confidently. The aim is for operating the car to become increasingly natural so you can focus on making safe, independent driving decisions.

Using the tuition car for your driving test
If you are planning to use the tuition car for your practical driving test, this needs to be agreed in advance and will depend on your preparation, readiness and my availability on the test date.
As a general rule, I require around 10 hours of tuition with me before the car can be considered for use on test, although this is not an automatic guarantee. The priority is making sure that both you and the car are properly prepared and that I am satisfied you are ready to take the test safely.
